The day trip to the snow country!!

We had a great time eating together!!!Louie really enjoyed spending time with Michael!!!

Earlier this month Louie's son, Michael came to visit for a week! We had a great time! The whole family (except me, I had to work) took him to Mt Hood, but the snow stopped them from reaching the lodge! Jim and Michael got to really bond! They went to the Casino and Michael taught Jim how to play the Roulette Wheel and Jim won! They just enjoy being together! Step brothers!

Our first Christmas together as a family! Thank you, God!!!

Picking out their first Christmas tree!!! Can you believe we only paid $10 for a Nobel Fir!!!

Silvia got her Green Card! Celebration!!!

Life is an adventure!

WOW! Life is sure an adventure!!! God has been so good to our family!
Since Jim arrived in June and got married to Silvia, our lives have just been on a roller coaster!! A wonderful one though! And definitely guided by our wonderful Lord!
Probably the best part has been to be able to see Jim daily and to just touch, hug, and kiss him! WOW! I am so blessed! And also to be able to call my daughter, Janelle, in the mornings when I drive to work! What a blessing! It's like we never had that 20 years or separation! I love just talking about life with her! She and her family bought a little 7 acre farm in Texas and are growing kids, veggies, and chickens so far! We spent Thanksgiving with them this past year! How wonderful to spend time with them!!!
Well, Jim and Louie are working together at Chez Gourmethttp://chezgourmet.biz , they make, produce, package, and ship the Veggie burgers! How wonderful they can spend quality time together and bond! Silvia is actually staying at home with her son Noah this year. Noah has had some difficulty with the transition to OR, and Silvia was working at Chez Gourmet but got laid off because they weren't busy enough. This also has been a God thing, because she can stay at home with Noah. Please keep Noah in your prayers!
I am working at a wonderful holistic dental office in Lake Oswego, OR http://lakeoswegosmiles.com/ and I just love it!
Louie and I still LOVE Oregon and have had many friends come to visit!! We look forward to many more this year! It looks like Susan and Miguel and the children are coming in April and my "Stick Buddy" Debby Waugh and her husband are coming this summer some time! Can't wait to show them around and do some "Wine Tasting"!!! So fun since we live in the Oregon "Wine Country"
Louie and I have become very involved with our church "2nd Street Community Church" and really feel at home there!
God Bless you all and we pray for a wonderful year for you all!

We're BAAAACKKKK! What a RIDE!

WOW! What a wonderful ride we have been on for the past 2 1/2 months! It seems like it has been a year since I last updated this! Sorry!
JIM IS HOME!!!! Praise GOD!!!
And how wonderful it is to just reach out and hug him! He is such a wonderful young man! I am so proud of him! God has really worked miracles in his life!
We picked Jim up at the airport and all I could do is just keep touching him to make sure it was real! We got him settled in with us and just enjoyed him as much as possible. Silvia (the woman who had been visiting him in prison for the past 8 years) came up the first weekend in June. The second weekend in June, the 12th to be exact, they were married in our front yard by our pastor from our church! It was wonderful!!! Jim got a job working at Chez Gourmet, where Louie had been working when we first came up here and where Louie hopes to go to work as soon as they get busy enough! Jim is working long hours and just loves it! And they love him!
Shortly after they got married, Silvia had to go back to OK to finish out her job at Olive Garden and get all of her furniture and things moved up here. She and her son, Noah 12yrs old, arrived around the 15th of July. They are renting a house in Newberg from someone from our church. They should be moving in sometime this week. Their furniture arrived just last Monday!
Louie and I are doing great! Jobs are going well! We have a couple of weekend rides (motorcycle) planned in August and then we are planning to go to Vancouver, BC on the bike the end of August for about a week. Should be fun!!! I promise, I will post some pics!! God Bless everyone! We just continue to be Blessed every day!!! Thank you God!

Unbeliveable news today!!!!!!!!

The Governors office phoned saying the parole certificate for Jim has been signed today. Jim should be getting out quickly. How soon we do not know but will keep everyone posted when that happens. Thank you everyone who has prayed with us for this to happen in Gods time.

About Me

My photo
We are an adventurous couple. One year after we got married we quit our jobs, sold our house in Phoenix and moved to Oregon. Louie was born and raised in Phoenix and had never lived anywhere else. Peg was a military brat growing up, but had been in Phoenix for 30+years.
